Apple sues HTCНежданно негаданно Apple распространили пресс-релиз, в котором выдвигают претензии к тайваньской компании HTC по поводу нарушения 20 патентов. Официальный пресс-релиз цитирует самого Стива:

Что ж заявление в столь ультимативной форме можно считать, как признание HTC. Стив и ранее позволял себе резкие высказывания, но с учетом того, что HTC уже много лет разрабатывает коммуникаторы, наверняка и у них найдется пара сотен патентов в рукаве. Также напомню, что интерфейс TouchFlo был представлен раньше, нежели первый iPhone.

Представители engadget связались с HTC, и получили ответ:

Нам только стало известно о намерениях Apple из пресс-релиза. Судебный документ еще не был вручен, так что мы пока не можем прокомментировать обвинения. Мы уважаем ценность патентных прав, но также мы хотим защитить свои собственные инновации. Мы изобретаем и патентуем свои собственные технологии более 13 лет.

Apple подготовила более 700 страниц с описанием претензий, а также указала список конкретных моделей HTC, которые подпадают под раздачу, среди них Nexus One, Touch Pro, Touch Diamond, Touch Pro2, Tilt II, Pure, Imagio, Dream / G1, myTouch 3G, Hero, HD2, Droid Eris.

Основное внимание Apple акцентирует на устройствах с Android и Sense UI на борту, краткий перечень притензий: использование гестур для разблокировки устройства, алгоритм коррекции пользовательского ввода, а также ряд функциональности, которую использовала HTC при построении интерфейса.
